Top 10 Best Landing Spots in Apex Legends

Apex Legends

If you want to be the best in Apex Legends, you’ve got to be the greediest and smartest person on the map. Greedy, because, you’ll want to have all of the best gears possible, sometimes even at the expense of your own teammate, and smart, because it’s even more important to know where all of your gears and loot are going to come from.

But, the thing is, the loot location in Apex Legends changes from game to game. This means that what worked extremely well for you in one game might not be as effective in the next one. However, that doesn’t mean that you should just land anywhere, hoping that you find yourself a good landing spot with a lot of loot.

That kind of plan is a recipe for disaster both for you and your squad. This is why it’s incredibly important for you to know where you should drop in Apex Legends. Lucky for you, we’re here to help.

Below, we outlined ten of the best landing spots in Apex Legends to help you get a head start against the rest of your competition.

1. Hot Zones

First off, let’s start with the most obvious — and the most dangerous.

The Hot Zone is an area that will be marked by a blue circle on your map. The mark signifies that the area will be filled, not only with more loot but also with better-quality loot as well. This includes high-tier armor, weapons, attachments, and more.

Hot Zones are perfect if you want to get the best gear right off the bat. The only issue is that you’re not the only one who knows where the Hot Zone is. Other players can see it marked on their maps too. Put two and two together and you’ll see just how much chaotic this area can get at the start of the match.

If you’re really keen on going to the Hot Zone, the best way to go about it is to try and land there if it isn’t found directly along the flight path. This way, fewer players will want to land there. Of course, being that it is still a Hot Zone, there’ll still be far more players compared to the other areas on the map.

2. Supply Ships

The Supply Ship will show up as an icon of a, well, ship on your map and will move across the map for the first few minutes of a game. Sometimes, it will fly along your flight path.

Other times, it won’t. Either way, it’s a great idea to take note of where the Supply Ship is because it’s a prime area for looting, and if in case it’s far away from your flight path, going to where it is once it’s landed can get you some pretty nice loot.

Just remember that you’ll want to try practicing your dropping and landing skills first before attempting to drop on a Supply Ship as the squad leader. Conversely, you can also try marking the Supply Shop on your map prior to drop-off and let someone else stick the landing for you.

Also, just a final bit of advice for landing on the Supply Ship: don’t be afraid to jump off of it as soon as you’re done gathering loot.

There’s no fall damage in Apex Legends, so you don’t have to worry about falling to your death.

3. Repulsor and Hydro Dam

Technically, these are two different places. However, because they’re pretty close to each other anyway, it only makes sense to count them as one place.

Both the Repulsor and Hydro Dam are almost always guaranteed to yield High Tier Loot.

This is why a lot of players frequent them. But, if it just so happens that these areas are a bit far from the flight path, you can try purposely landing on them from afar to try and secure as much loot as quietly as you can before you start getting into firefights.

4. Artillery

Similar to Repulsor and Hydro Dam, the Artillery is an excellent spot for High Tier Loot in Apex Legends.

Perhaps the best thing about Artillery is how accessible it is. Regardless of the flight path, you’re guaranteed to have a good angle to land here fast. Not to mention, you can branch off to many different areas from here, all of which could potentially have good loot as well.

So, even if a number of teams drop on Artillery early on, there’s enough loot to go around for everybody.

5. Thunderdome

If you want to stock up on weapons, armor, and ammo without being disturbed, the Thunderdome is one of your best bets.

Very rarely will you encounter a fight in Thunderdome, and even when you do, the place is massive and spacious enough to give you a lot of ground to run and take cover in, allowing you to avoid ill-advised fights, especially if your opponents picked up a weapon first.

What’s probably the biggest problem in Thunderdome is that it doesn’t have as much loot as compared to the other landing spots on our list. However, it is peaceful, and Skull Town, another popular loot action, is just a stone’s throw away from the Thunderdome as well.

6. Bunker

Both ends of the Bunker contain a number of chests that you and your team can open — provided that you can get to them first.

Because the Bunker is one of the few places in Apex Legends where there’s a fixed set of loot, you can expect a huge amount of traffic in here. If you’re lucky enough to pick up a gun a few seconds after landing, then your chances of surviving for the next five minutes will go down drastically unless your teammates are more fortunate than you are.

7. Relay

Similar to the Thunderdome, the Relay area of the Apex Legends map is usually free from other players. This leaves all of the loot in the area all to yourself.

You should be able to find enough loot to fit your entire team with quality gear. If you’re still not satisfied, you can easily head over to the Wetlands and the Swamps from the Relay, making Relay a great place to land if you want to avoid fights.

8. Airbase

The Airbase is a High Tier Loot heaven in most games and is usually left undisturbed by a lot of players, mostly because it’s a choke point.

If you go inside the Airbase and land with a couple of other teams, it’s highly likely that the majority of you won’t be going out of the place alive. But, if it’s any consolation, the place does indeed have tons of loot.

Just don’t forget to scour every nook and corner of the building for chests and other loot just lying on the ground. Don’t forget to check the various planes scattered all across the area as well!

9. The Pit

The Pit is another underrated area on Apex Legends’ map that a lot of players seem to prefer to avoid landing in if they can. Most likely, the main reason for this is because of how easy it is to get ambushed when one wants to leave the place.

If you plan on landing on The Pit, make sure that you’re not going to be landing with any other teams and that you scour the place as quickly as possible. The faster you can move on from The Pit and into the other areas on the map, the better your chances of survival will be.

10. Skull Town

For a team with a giant skull running across it, the Skull Town of Apex Legends has all sorts of loot inside it.

Outside of the loot, perhaps the best thing about the Skull Town is that there’s a lot of vertical space that you can work with here, so you can escape other players with ease in case they get the drop on your first. This also means that you can outmaneuver and kill them from behind with relative ease once you know your way around Skull Town already.

Most of the time, however, you and your squad will be looting the area all on your own, so you shouldn’t need to worry too much about other players within the vicinity.

Hopefully, with our map guide to Apex Legendsyou’ll be able to land effectively and drop among where the loot are. Once you get the areas down pat, winning should become a lot easier for you and the rest of your squad. Also before you jump into a game read the best Apex Legends settings.
