Savannah James, Lebron James Wife, has supported him since high school.
LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., Bryce Maximus, and Zhuri Nova are the couple’s three children together. They were married in 2013 and are both from Akron, Ohio.
LeBron James, often known to his followers as King James, has made it very evident that he would be “absolutely nothing” without his queen at his side as his NBA career has soared over the years.
Savannah rejoiced in February 2023 when her husband beat Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record to become the NBA’s all-time top scorer. Right after he made the game-changing shot, she gathered on the floor at Crypto.com Arena with her family and friends. The mother of three also made LeBron a heartfelt video message, which read:
“I am so proud of you. I witness day in and day out the hard work, the sacrifice, and the professionalism that you put into this game every day. Even though I am aware that this was not your intention, you should nevertheless celebrate and give yourself a pat on the back for doing this. You deserve all the respect. It couldn’t be happening to a better, more dedicated person. I love you.”
Upon becoming the NBA’s all-time leading scorer in July, LeBron honored his wife at the ESPY Awards by winning the best record-breaking performance award. He addressed his wife, “No one has worked harder or made more sacrifices for our family than you. I love you and I appreciate all that you have done.”
They Met in High School
The cute couple has a long history together, dating back to high school. Savannah cheered for the other high school even though their schools weren’t affiliated (what’s a little friendly competition?).
At the time, 17-year-old LeBon—who had been recruited to play basketball at Ohio’s St. Vincent-St. Mary High School—was introduced to 16-year-old Savannah. Good Housekeeping claims that a mutual friend first put them in contact.
She took the initiative
As an independent woman, Savannah took the lead in their relationship from the beginning. Savannah stated, “Nope,” and that she would take LeBron’s number when the previously mentioned mutual friend informed her that he had requested hers. In 2018, Savannah told Cleveland Magazine the sweet and funny anecdote, adding that one day she ended up contacting him out of boredom.
“One day I’m sitting around—I was probably bored or something—and I’m like, ‘Oh, I forgot! I have this number for this guy that I can call. He seemed interested, so let’s see.’”
LeBron reached out and took Savannah out to Outback Steakhouse for their first date, and the rest is history.
She and LeBron have three children together
LeBron “Bronny” James Jr. was born on October 6, 2004, the couple’s first child, following an unanticipated pregnancy during Savannah’s senior year and LeBron’s first year in the NBA. She told Harper’s Bazaar of the encounter, saying, “I was wondering what I would tell my parents. What fate does his career hold? I felt really afraid. I was crying. However, LeBron declared, “It won’t slow me down, and it won’t slow you down.” We will continue to carry out our necessary tasks.”
On June 14, 2007, brother Bryce was born, and on October 22, 2014, sister Zhuri Nova joined Bronny.
Bronny has shown real basketball promise as a youngster, and his parents are excited to support him in achieving his sporting aspirations. LeBron and Savannah went to their oldest child’s senior night game on January 11, 2023. Zhuri was in the stands, watching Bryce play as well.
Bronny committed to play basketball at the University of Southern California four months later. When the young athlete experienced cardiac arrest during a workout in July, he had just begun workouts with his new squad.
The next day, a representative for the James family gave the following explanation: “Bronny was seen by doctors and brought to the hospital. He is no longer in the ICU and his status is stable.”
She is committed to returning the favor
According to Savannah’s explanation to Cleveland Magazine, she started her mentorship program Women of Our Future in 2017 to offer young ladies in Akron one-on-one counseling and support. In 2018, she also gave a speech at the “For Women, Forever” event hosted by the Akron Community Foundation and served as honorary chair for the Circle fundraiser of the YWCA of Greater Cleveland.
She said, “I’m still a very private person,” to Cleveland Magazine. “However, these things are a reflection of my charitable side and my desire for giving back. So I don’t mind going out with those things.”
She has had professional success by herself and with LeBron
During LeBron’s time with the Miami Heat, Savannah owned and operated The Juice Spot, a juice bar in the Brickell neighborhood. After two years, she closed the business and the family returned to Cleveland.
According to Business Insider, the couple also debuted Home Court by LeBron James, their furniture brand with American Signature.
She is a Caring Person
The mother of three now spends most of her time working to “encourage and empower girls and young women,” per Cleveland Magazine. Speaking engagements include the Akron Community Foundation’s For Women, Forever endowment gala, where she has given a speech, and the YWCA Greater Cleveland’s Circle fundraiser, where she served as honorary chair.
She founded the Women of the Future organization, in 2017, aiming to empower and assist young women in Akron, Ohio. In an interview with Cleveland Magazine, she mentioned keeping her private life private but stepping out publicly for philanthropy.

The Cut published Savannah’s cover story in May 2023. She gave an explanation of why she decided to embrace the opportunity to “be seen” in public rather than pursue celebrity as an NBA wife.

Savannah has recently embraced the spotlight, making more public appearances and updating her social media accounts more frequently
In the Instagram comments, the outlet questioned her about what it’s like to have people “thirsting” for her.
Savannah also talked about LeBron’s credo, which states that “without” his wife, “he would be nothing.”
“It’s very nice to hear that the sacrifices that you’ve made and the work that you’ve put into making sure that our children are raised properly and that he has a stable environment that’s full of love and good vibes and all the things — it’s a testament to be told that,” she continued. “I believe that saying, ‘Yes, thank you,’ speaks highly of me.
